What is Included: You may want to take advantage of their "buddy" program, where a German student helps and guides you from when you arrive until you are ready to be more independent. They'll even come pick you up from the airport/train when you arrive in Berlin!
What is not Included: For international exchange students there is an intensive course on German offered before the winter semester.
Housing arrangements must be set up by the student, though there are a limited amount of dormitories available.

Program Description

This program is an exchange program -- IIT students will pay tuition directly to IIT.

This program is only available as an exchange for Architecture students.

Courses are offered mainly in German, with increasing numbers of classes available in English.

The internationally renowned Technische Universität Berlin is located in Germany’s capital city at the heart of Europe. Their activities focus on building a distinctive profile, exceptional performance in research and teaching, excellent qualifications for graduates and a forward-looking administration. The TU Berlin strives to promote the dissemination of knowledge and to facilitate technological progress by adhering to the principles of excellence and quality. Strong regional, national and international networking partnerships with science and industry are an important to them in this regard.

Their research and teaching endeavors can be characterized by a broad spectrum of academic disciplines, ranging from engineering science to natural science, planning science and economics, as well as the humanities and social sciences.
