Program Description

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is located in Daejeon. KAIST was established by the government of Korea in 1971 as the nation’s first research oriented science and engineering institution and was ranked as the top university in Korea for 6 consecutive years by Joong Ang Newspaper’s University Evaluation. In the 2012 QS and THE University Rankings, KAIST was ranked 63rd and 68th respectively overall. In the engineering section, KAIST was ranked 24th by the QS evaluation.

KAIST has more than 10,000 students including 700 international students from over 70 countries and 1,200 faculty members including 200 foreign faculty members from 27 countries.
