university in Ireland, is ranked within the top 1% of universities worldwide. Freshman study abroad students attend the same high quality modules as Irish students, ensuring a great academic start. A high standard

of support and oversight is central to this programme and a wide range of social and cultural activities

take place throughout the semester, providing the opportunity to make friends and integrate.

Freshman students are housed on the UCD campus, located on 350 acres just three miles from Dublin City Centre.

Freshman students may take up to 30 ECTS credits (6

modules/classes) per semester. Freshman Study Abroad

students have greater flexibility than upperclassmen
to enroll in courses across the university (subject to
timetabling restrictions and availability of spaces).
These modules should be selected in agreement with the
student’s home university and chosen from the wide range
of level one modules available within UCD.
