We are pleased to announce that the College of Architecture will be conducting a spring break trip to Barcelona from 17-25 March 2012. The Barcelona trip will be open to 15 College of Architecture students, graduate or undergraduate. The trip will be conducted jointly with the students from the E.T.S Arquitectura de Barcelona. Planning is on-going but besides exploring Barcelona’s architectural icons, museums, parks etc. the draft itinerary includes visits of architectural offices.

Prof. Martin Klaeschen will conduct this trip. Since he has spend some of his own architectural studies at the E.T.S Arquitectura de Barcelona, he has great insight about the city and is fluent in Spanish. He has organized countless study trips at sites as varied as Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, Wales and the Midwest. He has lived in Germany, Spain, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. His own wanderings include India, entire West Europe, Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey and wide ranges of the US.

Once accepted into the program, a $200.00 deposit must be paid in full to guarantee the spot. Deadline for payment of the remaining $100.00 program fee will be 14 days after notification of acceptance. Students who are accepted but who do not pay the program fee within the two week window will lose their slot.
